While Marcus is away in Singapore we had our Graduate Meeting - here are the highlights.
First we enjoyed a very interactive session with Steve Oxlade, who got to grips with the tough subject of how to chose the right wealth strategy - tax liens, stocks, property, internet marketing. We discussed how to stay focused, and asked when do you stop if things are not working out, or decide to push through to success? Keith Cunningham was mentioned - "get in line and stay in line" is one of his favourite phrases - stop jumping the queue when you think you can't crack it. He also teaches "be in love with the business not just the product". If you love a product and need to sell it through network marketing - be in love with people, with being out of the house at events and know what kinds of actions you need to take to get results. If you have a marketable e-product you can take on line - be in love with being in front of your computer for a few hours a day - or outsource it!
We talked about making sure that you had enough income coming in to cover the basics - get a job even if it's part time, to make sure you don't get into debt while you are creating your pillars of wealth. Before you signed up for everything thinking that you can get rich quick.
There is NOTHING more stressful than trying to make a million pounds sitting at home on the laptop when you haven't got the money to go to the supermarket or you have spent the last 6 months eating your savings!
Doing things in increments in a steady, organised way is what we should be planning. That's what Marcus teaches in his stock market workshops. Start with the first step and steadily grow your confidence and your results. Some of you have been putting it off for years, so don't rush it now!
The group shared a lot of information about what they were doing and how they could make it easier for themselves. Steve also went over beliefs (always a meaty subject) and there were a lot of insights! If you haven't yet attended a meeting - why not? They are really good fun and you get loads of support and encouragement.
This is an old picture of me, Steve and a friend Phil Gainley back in the days when we used to whip out our credit cards for anything that sounded vaguely interesting. See how keen we are! In fact at that particular show, I paid £2000 for a course that was a complete disaster. I got ripped off, I didn't do my due diligence, I just went on the marketing there was no proof that what I bought was any good. An expensive lesson. Please don't make that mistake.
When you are choosing your course provider look for clues - testimonials, guarantees, the company being in the UK, check their website, meet them in person. Ask as many questions, even if you think you are being a right royal pain.
If you are still deliberating over the stock market workshop - do come and meet us and do your due diligence, this week at our stock market evenings - Tuesday 23rd, Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th March - you can register using this link :

Our guest speaker this month was Elliot Kay - The Coach With the Hat. What an energy! His session took us through the topic of "It's your Right to be Wrong" - and wow, what a powerful message.
Fear is what holds us back from even starting - so go on - get out there and do something, even if you fail. You get the lesson! The big message I got was "there is only feedback" so go and try whatever it is that you want to, don't be afraid to fail. You never know what is going to happen as a result. Often fear holds us back from even making the first step. Elliot told us about how he entered Britain's Got Talent. He wanted to be on stage in front of a lot of people - he wanted to speak about personal development - so he did - but they didn't like his delivery - he was booed by 4,000 people. He said he got so much learning from that it was worth the risk. I'll take my hat off to him for that! What a great idea!
The membership meetings are always good fun - it's a chance for you to get to meet potential business contacts and even create your own mastermind team. Talking of Masterminding - you all know that being around people who can inspire you is very important.
I had a mastermind meeting with my fantastic group of ladies on Friday evening. We meet every three months and bring our vision boards along (which we make in January). The evening was a blast - we shared food, stories laughter and a few tears (a friend's Dad had died a few days earlier, and she hosted the event! what a trooper, what a woman), and all left very inspired looking forward to June when we meet again. You will be surprised at what you have achieved even if you don't think you have done anything - so find an outlet for your dreams and aspirations and get someone to hold you accountable for them.
If you haven't yet got a mastermind group - why not post something on the WW or the SM forum - you only need to start with one other person.... and you can meet when you come to London to the membership meeting or over the web - there are so many different ways you have no excuse! I'm still friends with people that I met at the Wealth Workout in 2006 - and they continue to be an inspiration. Don't wait for someone else to post or to ask - be active and seek a wealth buddy out!
So while we are waiting for Marcus to come back from Singapore with his tales, I hope that you all have an amazing week - the sun's out, so find that dormant energy and do something positive with it!
Lisa
